Here is the iron girl who is working in Sri Lanka Railway.

A series of photographs that have attracted the attention of many people in the country were published in the social media networks of the country in recent days. There were several other photos, including a photo of a stylish little girl climbing on a train seat repairing a fan on the train. Many people who saw it said that some young woman had released the photo series on the internet hoping for minor popularity and it is a disrespectful act for a young woman to appear in such a photo series on a government owned train. Is it really just acting in front of a camera? Or is there a story behind those photos that you don't know about? In order to find out about it, the other day we had a conversation with the young woman who posed for those few photos. Still twenty-one years old, her name is Situmi Rodrigu. A resident of Gampaha Oruthota, she spoke with us about the series of photographs in which she appeared and the background story between the series of photographs and her. After that photo went on social media, many people said that a girl going somewhere had climbed on a train whistle and done a photo shoot. Some people had also questioned how he was allowed to occupy the train seat where they were going to Wadiwela. They must have said that because of their ignorance. The photo was actually taken as a souvenir of the final stage of my training course. It was when someone else posted it on social media that many people started talking about it. Leaving some curiosity in us, Situmi said that with that stylish little girl and the 'Iron Devil. When we inquired about what is the relationship between the train, which many people call as I did my primary education at Gampaha Gotami Primary. After that, Ganemulla joined Galahitiyawa National School and got further education. When I passed the general level and studied in the art department for about a year of high school, I decided that I wanted to move forward in a different direction without writing the high school. When I was there for a while, one day my uncle brought an application form and gave it to my mother and told her that there is a good course for her daughter and that she should fill this application form. As soon as I received the application form, I told my mother that I cannot go for this. I didn't like it because it was a course at the Sri Lanka German Railway Technical Training Center. Finally I gave it in full. About a month later, I was selected for training at the training center in Ratmalana. The first course will be in 2019. I was eighteen years old then. Twenty one people were selected to take the course. A girl had only me. During the three months of basic training, we were given iron block by block and told to make the C clamp from that iron block. On the first day, the iron block was combed. In the evening, he cannot raise his arms and cries. That day I went home and cried a lot Scold uncle too. I can't do that course. Dad didn't say anything. Mother said that my uncle also completed that course in 2003 and now he is working in the railway department. It was on that request that I came this far. My friends and acquaintances said that you have chosen a course that is not suitable for a girl. I have thought the same countless times. But after a while I got used to it. It's been three years since I started training. The training period will end in six month I have worked in Dematagoda factory. In addition, he received training in Maradana Workshop 37. Now I am practicing at Ratmalana workshop number 27. A photo taken while working at the Dematagoda factory went on social media. After seeing that, some people accused me that a girl was stepping on a train seat. It is not wrong for someone to feel that way, because many people do not think that a girl will apply for training in that field. In addition to this training, I am also doing an electrical diploma on weekends. My goal is to study up to a degree in that field. I want to thank my parents and uncle for helping me on this journey. Also the boys in my batch support me a lot. Also, Mr. Samaradivakara, the training manager of the training center, Namini Mendis Miss "Pushpakumara" Chaturanga" Chatura, who is in charge of us, and a large group of people are giving me great support to go on this journey. Many thanks to them too
